SUBJECT: February 2019 Audition Theme
Welcome to a new year with Metaverse. We are thrilled to be entering our 8th year of offering SL’s finest pageant – the 2020 Mr. and Miss Metaverse Pageant. We look forward to crowning Mr and Miss Metaverse National Titleholders each month of 2019 — who will continue on in January 2020 to compete in the Mr. and Miss Metaverse 2020 Pageant.
Each month we give everyone the opportunity to compete in our monthly preliminary pageant auditions – where the winner(s) of those monthly preliminary pageants can earn their national titles and crowns. As the year cycles, January – December, we establish our Top Finalists who will then continue on and compete the following January for the coveted title of Mr. and Miss Metaverse.

Avant Garde, aväntˈɡärd. “The avant-garde (from French, “advance guard” or “vanguard”, literally “fore-guard”) are people or works that are experimental or innovative, particularly with respect to art, culture, and politics.”
From the beginning, Steampunk has always been defined by two qualities: Bleeding-edge ideas and a do-it-yourself ethic. Steampunk was so ahead of its time, that the genre did not receive its formal name until 1987 when over 100 years after the first works were released into the world.
You are asked to style a complete fashionable Steampunk Avant Garde look that is the epitome of Avant Garde Steampunk fashion movement in 2019.
